Florish Okigweh is not only a registered nurse (RN1) working on a progressive care unit, but she is also a first-time author, church leader, and youth representative, among other roles. Her journey from academia to healthcare and spiritual leadership is both inspiring and compelling, showcasing her multifaceted talents and unwavering determination.

Academic and Professional Profile:

  • Academic Achievements: Florish holds an Associate of Arts in General Studies and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), demonstrating her commitment to her educational and professional development.
  • Current Occupation: As a Registered Nurse 1 on a progressive care unit, Florish provides essential care in a challenging and dynamic environment, specializing in med-surg/tele/stroke care.
  • Authorship: Florish is the author of “Stand of Scripture (SOS): Prayers for Academic Success,” an e-book that reflects her dedication to supporting others on their academic and spiritual journeys.

Leadership and Service:

  • Church Leadership: Florish leads the Multimedia/Social Media Department at Christ Ambassadors Assembly (CAA) Church, utilizing her skills to foster community and share messages of faith.
  • Community Engagement: As the Orlu Regional Association (ORA) Youth Representative for the OPU affiliate of ORA USA, MD (2023), and the Vice President of Nurses Helping Nurse ORG at the University of Maryland, Baltimore (2022), Florish is deeply involved in community service and advocacy.
